Steampunk birdhouses!

in #ocd4 years ago

In search for a quiet and not crowded place, our daily walk ended up a quick 10-minute drive away in the forest slash park. Since the day today was nice and sunny, I naturally whipped out my old trusty cellphone tp grab a shot of proof of our walk.

What immediately caught our attention were those awesome steampunk birdhouses, where the window is made of some kind of metal and riveted to the wood. Wait... is it a window or is it a door? Obviously it looks like a window to us people, but bird walk in and out of it, so it's a door, right? Anyway, STEAMPUNK BIRDS, anyone?

There was even some kind of wire thingy for them to be even more steampunk. What's the wire for? If you have to ask, you shouldn't know.

Further on, near the stadium on the other side of the forest, you can shoot some hoops. But, as @raili said, you can shoot hoops only once. Then you must find another ball or get your Jordan shoes on, but as we all know, white men can't jump, poor bastards.

There's this derelict and abandoned tram. Who had the idea of dragging this old electric-powered vehicle that runs on tracks, to this stadium? Give that man a medal! The tram is stripped of seats but seats are not necessary for driving, last time I looked. Give me some torque and a wheel and we'll see what magic can happen.

We made out way around the stadium, circling around the neighbourhood, eventually ending up at the Von Glehn park. Von what? Read it yourself, I photographed the sign for you. Basically it says:

bla-bla-bla

Just kidding, read the sign and become educated. There's more locations around nearby tied to mr. Glehn, some stories abous his horse, his wife and his whatnots.

That's his castle.

If you take a peek beside his castle, further downhill you can see my usual cold swimming pools sitting in solitude, being closed down and all that because of the viral fears.

Finally, we made out way back towards the car, passing by the monstrous sculptures that have scared numerous generations of kids, the giant crocodile lurking behind the Estonian folklore hero, Kalevipoeg.

Don't be scared of monsters, wear diamonds!

I'll leave the typo in the text, to not render your comment moot 😜
