Hello and good morning all,
Today's post will be shorter than yesterday's. Just a quick bear laying on his belly. The beginning and the end, with a few cuts in between.
He's got a smirk on his face..
Started out with a quarter sawn log. Quarter sawn is a log split vertically four ways to relieve pressure in the log, to reduce cracking.
You can see his ears and head starting to emerge here...
Couple cuts to form the snout..
Marked where the eyes go and started furring here..
Then dremeled the eyes and nose to finish detailing. Next came the burning, sanding and paint to finish off.
