Interesting question that although a few days ahead of a complicated situation around the future of Steemit has turned out to be a turning point where to really consider why I am still here where the events don't help and the past hasn't done it either. When i came into Steemit the situation looks good although not the best but it is necessary to say that I didn't arrive with anything under my arm, i invested in steem because I believed in the idea and the currency.
Pero después con mi inversión llegó mi propio proyecto de curación @templo a través del cual buscar otros apoyos mayores y ayudar a tantos usuarios necesitados de crecimiento como en ese momento eran los hispanos, a pesar de que tenían un gran proyecto apoyándolos como @cervantes sentía que no daba a basto con tanto usuario atraído gracias a la labor de recompensar publicaciones escritas en español, pero no por ello recibí apoyos de quienes impulsaban proyectos porque la curación desde un proyecto según ellos no es labor que ayude al crecimiento ni atraiga usuarios, quizás no supe pedir o no estaba bien relacionado, sólo @cervantes me tendió la mano gracias a una buena amistad.
But then with my investment came my own curation project @templo through which to seek other major support and help as many users in need of growth as at that time were the spanish users, although they had a great project supporting them as @cervantes, I felt that it was not enough with so much attracted user thanks to the work of rewarding publications written in Spanish, but not for that reason I received support from those who promoted projects, they thouht curation projects is not enough work that helps growth or attract users, maybe I didn't know how to ask or to whom, only @cervantes helped thanks to a good friendship.
A pesar de no tener un buen apoyo esa experiencia en @templo fue la que comenzó a retenerme en Steemit, el comienzo a pesar de no ser muy espectacular y con un poder de voto muy discreto comencé a sentir como el steemian funciona con los demás, su forma de ser, vi las cosas buenas y también algunas malas, el hecho de pasarte los días buscando publicaciones, viendo como interactuan en los servidores de los diferentes curadores y aprendiendo quienes engañan y quienes trabajan a diario para crecer así sea demasiado lento. Busqué colaboradores a los que les entregaba el 50% de todo lo que el proyecto generaba y además de crear puestos de trabajo creaba una fuerte amistad y respeto, posteriormente tras el último HF algunos apoyos fueron retirados a los reportes de los proyectos de curación y los ingresos no daban ni para publicar un reporte semanal por lo que moderadores de nuestro servidor, curador y apoyo de curación tuvieron que abandonar el proyecto por falta de ingresos hasta quedarme sólo y volver a plantearme si seguir.
Despite not having good support, that experience in @templo was what made me stay in Steemit,the beginning despite not being very spectacular and with a very discreet voting power I began to feel like the steemian works with others, their way of life, their good things and also some bad, the fact of spending your days looking for publications, watching as they interact on the servers of the different curators and learning who cheat and who work daily to grow so be too slow. Se supone que nuestro apoyo era importante y los que no conocían de mi existencia ni me habían apoyado en nada ahora me pedían a mi lo que me negaron a mi con el silencio o la ausencia de respuestas. Interesante a pesar de que nada cambiará para mi como usuario invisible para esos grandes usuarios.

No sólo me posicioné sino que lo hice público a la vez que animaba a otros hispanos a hacerlo. Del nuevo propietario esperaba una propuesta a través de usuarios reales, testigos o no pero al menos con recorrido en Steemit y lo que nos ofreció fue imponer una idea a través del dinero, quizás si hubiera dialogado con testigos o con los que hubieran querido escucharle hubiera podido parecer una carrera al cambio pero la historia ya prueba que no es inteligente.

En definitiva, si tras la caída del precio del steem, los cambios a través de distintos HF, el lento crecimiento de mis proyectos casi sin apoyos, una especie de guerra civil dentro de Steemit y sobre todo el aprecio a muchos usuarios que por circunstancias se que viven de esto ¿Cómo podría abandonar Steemit sin mirar atrás? Sólo me queda una duda y es si realmente un cambio sería bueno para los que con tan sólo dos años desde el nacimiento de Steemit ya parece que llegamos tarde, me queda esa duda.
Definitely, if after the steem price drop, the changes that do not help the authors through different HF, the slow growth of my invisible projects with almost no support, a civil war within Steemit and especially the affection of many users who, by circumstances, know that they live on this...How could I leave Steemit without looking back? i´m only have one doubt and it is if a change would really be good for those who with just two years since Steemit was born already seems to be late.

Thank you for the mention. Well written publication. I have always encouraged the use of one's native language and English; mainly because it opens the door for better growth.
As I have published with both Spanish and English for awhile now I was offered a lot of assistance and guidance on using Spanish. I finally learned to use two translation programs. Once I translate to Spanish I use the second one to translate back to English. This has caused me to think about how I was writing in English, because I would have to go back and change sentence structure and even choices of words. I believe I am improving as time goes along and always appreciate input on the translation.
It has been interesting to read about why users are still on steemit when so many obstacles were there from the beginning for new users.
