The good and bad sides of the Reullia or Kencana flower

in #ocd4 years ago (edited)

Hello Guys ... Good afternoon!!!

How are you today? Certainly in a pleasant position...

At this meeting we will invite friends to glance at one of the wild plants that grow along the river without any human intervention.

This wild plant grows by itself may be due to seeds carried by birds when it makes a nest and accidentally the seeds fall on the banks of the river then it grows by itself until it becomes large and develops intact in the area.

Has a variety of names

Since my childhood this flower is often very encountered along the highway where passing public vehicles, it thrives on the edge of the road with a variety of sizes because this plant also has several species. Our local people say that as a the flower of Pletesan, name was adopted from one of the non-verbal languages of the local community because if it is treated with something it will make a sound like firecrackers but I myself do not know which parts of the body can produce sounds like firecrackers that I know of children often ring it.

Then when we ask ornamental flower breeders, they mention it as the Purple Golden Flower. This name was also adopted from non-verbal language, the reason being that when the kingdom of the past this flower was often posted on horse carriages or on the Kencana wagon, which was placed to the left of the horse carriage. When the horse-drawn carriage is attached to the left side it shows that the royal train is passing. Then the local people must stop to respect the royal family on their way.

When we search for his name in the Google search engine it turns out that the name that is world-famous is the RUELLIA flower, or more precisely, the flower Ruellia tuberosa L.Similar to the name of one of the famous people in his country. It turned out that the name was taken from Mr. Jean Ruelle, an herbalist and physicist from France, who was a scientist or included in the medical expert class.

Some people say it is medicine, but I think differently

Lots of writing on Google's search engine about this one flower, and many also say that as an herbal remedy that is beneficial to the human body, one of which is for the treatment of itching on the skin of someone who has irritation or upper skin infection. This information is also recognized by herbal medicine experts about its use, and my family also uses this flower which has been crushed and rubbed on itchy skin. But for me the existence of this plant can disturb other plants around it that grow close to it, meaning that it should not be mixed with other ornamental plants.

Why

Because according to one of the famous herbal medicine experts in our city (Thabib Masykur bin Solaman) he said, although this Reullia plant is often used as ornamental flowers and medicinal plants, but some parts of the flower are suspected to be poisonous. The dangerous part is the leaves are very favored by caterpillars that are breeding in the process of perfect methamorposis, or become a host nest / residence of a number of larvae of butterfly species as,

  1. Lepidoptera
  2. Nymphalinae
  3. Junoniini
  4. Anartia fatima
  5. Junonia coenia
  6. Siproeta stelenes
  7. Yoma sabina.

If you want to adopt it, it's best not to mix it with other plants

If you want to make it as an ornamental plant or herbal plant you should be foreign to plant it because, based on the explanation above, it is also possible that other plants will be attacked by pests or larvae found in it. If your plants are not initially attacked by pests, other plants will automatically be contaminated with pests such as caterpillars.

So thus if you are cultivating fruiting plants such as chillies and the like then, you should get rid of these plants meaning do not plant close to the fruit plants that you are cultivating because they are vulnerable to contamination.

According to the information from the chili farmers they said that, Surely you know that the chili is vulnerable to pests and is very easily attacked by any plant larvae.

Thus is the story today in the afternoon of the Lhokseumawe area of Aceh, Indonesia.
