Introduction
We at the OCD curation project have for a long time been striving to look for underrated authors who write quality content, a task that is not easy because a lot of new authors that come to the platform and write have a hard time connecting with other users and receiving visibility. We are all also aware of curation not being as incentivized as posting and that's why we used posting rewards to reward our curators for the hard work they go through finding these authors.
With the linear curve the platform was introduced to bid bots as a way of advertising their content to the readers, although we over time came to the acceptance of these services, we didn't appreciate the middleman fees the owners were taking on a blockchain that is supposed to eliminate middlemen. Although the OCD bot (OCDB) won't be targeted to authors wanting to buy as much visibility as possible, we want to improve on the fee aspect and we think that competition in that scene will be healthy for the platform.
What will OCDB offer to delegators
By delegating to @ocdb you will be assured that all buys in limited amounts will go toward authors who have already proven themselves to write quality, original content for the Steem platform. The whitelist consists of over 2700 handpicked authors and will be growing organically through the usual @ocd curation activity.
The profit margin that went to the owners of the bid bots, such as curation rewards and part of the buys (SBD) will now instead go partly to the whitelisted buyers. There will be supervision of all posts that purchase votes from the curation team and community, with abuse facing consequences.
OCDB is completely non-profit!
You can delegate to us through the website by logging in with Steemconnect, where you can also choose if you wish to donate a percentage of your curation rewards or purchases or just directly delegate to the account @ocdb and you will receive all purchases daily and curation rewards on a weekly basis.

What will OCDB offer to buyers
If you have been curated by @ocd before this means you're already in the whitelist, which you can check on the same website here (click ctrl-f).
Being in the whitelist allows you to purchase a vote for max 2.5 sbd (currently) and get a guaranteed return of 150% minus curation (~25%).
Rules for buyers
This will follow the rules of why we curated you in the first place through @ocd. You can only purchase votes for original content that you have created.
Abuse will be warned at first, the vote will be removed and you will receive your amount of SBD back. The second time your vote will be removed and you will also be removed from the whitelist and not be welcomed back.
How the bot operates
The bot has a queue system which can also be found on our website here.
It will vote once every 100%, the max bids will increase or decrease depending on demand and delegation. The more demand there is the smaller the buy amount for each author, the more delegation the higher buy amount for each author. Currently each unique author can buy a vote once every 24h. This is something that will be constantly adjusted over time.
As you can see by the queue right now, @ocdb is already very popular even in its testing phase.
Conclusion
This bid bot will go hand in hand with our usual curation initiative. The only way to get onto the whitelist will be by being curated by @ocd for providing quality and original content to the platform.
This bot is created to help with distribution of stake for authors that truly write quality content. OCD has for over a year spent a lot of time helping distribute stake to deserving authors, OCDB will reinforce that and make this platform stronger for both holders of Steem Power and their Return of Investment as well as aid distribution that increases DPoS stablility.
Future additions
Incentivize quality content even more by curating and increasing ROI of posts that have bought @ocdb votes daily.

Will you guys offer buying votes with Steem? I don't really hold liquid SBD often...but I guess it's not hard to transfer.
Also, what about using your bot with other bots? Will you ban users that do that?
What about curation projects? Will they refuse to curate users that buy votes from you, or even reverse their votes? I think SteemSTEM does this with some bidbots.

You can bid both with Steem or SBD.
Good content is good content if there is no abuse I don't see why other curation projects would stop supporting good users and think they are still undervalued for their work.
I hope they will consider not doing so as we will keep an eye on the posts that get "boosted". We'll see if that causes any issues in the future.

I think your project is a lot better than standard bid bots. For that reason, I hope it grows a lot bigger.
Just today I got really annoyed that a project that I actually liked used bid bots to upvote their announcement to trending.
While I am not necessarily opposed to using bidbots on a post that deserves a high payout, or should be in trending, the problem lies in the fact that they are supporting services that don't give a shit. They don't review the posts that will get upvotes, or even reverse upvotes on utter crap. I would much prefer paid curation.
Perhaps in the future we will look back on this as a step forward towards more moral bid bot services.

We carefully select the users we add and the whitelist will be growing daily. This way we minimize abuse and delegators can rest assured their votes are going to the right authors. :)
We don't intend to disclude users on purpose but there's only such manpower and voting power daily.
Will people still receive upvotes from ocd if they don't buy/delegate to the project/bot ?
Yes, @ocd will continue curation as usual soon. When they pick up new authors those authors will be added to the whitelist and are eligible for buying @ocdb votes. :)

Excellent initiative! Above all because of the importance of the list being revised manually. The bots today sincerely lost all sense to use it. These kinds of initiatives really encourage you to keep working! But for authors like me, that although I worry about creating content in a continuous way I lack the part of doing social for lack of time. I write for mere pleasure and because it allows me to organize my own ideas, however to gain something in the process motivates to continue.

Oh okay. Is there any tag I can use to get noticed by the @ocd curators. Coz I have never came across the @ocd till today in the platform.
We check every tag, but you can use the ocd-resteem tag to get notice more easily.

I came across @ocd from the first weeks here on steemit, and for me it looked like a closed club, you hardly have any chance to become part of it. Good that there is a link of their discord, so it might be helpfull further on.

But getting a vote from @ocd isn't a close club since we are focused to curated new users.

As numerous as Steemit users are @acidyo, the probability of digging your desired posts is quite insignificant. I think there should be a way of manually applying for being whitelisted or queing, probably subject to your team's investigation before approval. It would add more meaning to your services I guess. a quick question: in order to get into the whitelist and a curator checks your post you have to use the tag ocd? till know i have never heard of ocd and as naturally never been seen by the curators, so it's i change that :P
Also i am all against bit-bots but the way this is made especially now with the last update i guess, it really seems cool and that will only bring benefits to the users and the platform! I bookmarked this post and when i reached my goal of a certain sp i will delegate!
You don't have to use a specific tag, but it is easier for us to notice you if you use the ocd-resteem tag.

What a fantastic project. I have used bid-bots in the past but recently I have stopped doing so because it is just not worth it. Finally having a bid-bot that is actually helping the bidders is something we have all been crying out for. I will definitely be delegating to OCD once I get my SP up above the 100 mark. Great stuff @acidyo and team.

I am certainly not a fan of bid-bots. Bid-bot usage has gone out of control. The trending page is littered with low quality posts that cannot be budged with downvotes.
Saying that, I see some positives in what you are attempting to do. Creating a whitelist is definitely more productive than fighting an endless battle by creating blacklists. Therefore, I have some support for your initaive. I just hope those on your OCD whitelist are actually producing content worth seeing.

Is there a minimun amount of sbd/steem to send and buy votes?
The upvoted recieved will depend of the amount of money i sent or it will depend of the amount of people that sent money at the same time i did??
I saw some people sending 2,5 sbd and getting 3,70$ of upvotes
It has a queue system, it only upvotes once at 100% voting power so no matter what your buy is (max 2.5 sbd and steem right now) you will get a vote depending on the amount you send. Not sure what the absolute minimum is.
