"sushi and tan for Iftar"
Having opportunity to do exchange somehow widen my perspective. I met many friends from different country. Some of them from Ukraine, Mexico, Italia, Egypt (Even though he is from Egypt, he is not-muslim), and many more countries.
However, they tolerant is really high. They really respect about islam. When we say we can not have skin-ship with opposite gender, they understand it. Also when we explain that we can not eat non halal meat, they respect it. Even they will try to find the halal one, if they can not find it, they will just buy seafood. Which is halal for muslim.
"Iftar with my friends "
When Ramadhan comes, we explain to them that we will be fasting for a month, starting from 5 in the morning until 8 in the night. They seem very excited to know about that. So they also fasting, they don’t eat and drink for a day. We even do ifthar together. I am really touched about this tolerance. We respect about each other religion. No discrimination. Only living in harmony.
"the process of making sushi"
For today’s ifthar menu, we are making sushi. Everyone loves it. It is really fun to prepare ifthar together. Somehow it can reduce my homesick because the vibe is really like home. We help each other to prepare the food before breakfasting. In this sushi making, it was my first time to be honest, so I learned a lot as well. I will try to make this menu also when I am in Indonesia. But I am not really sure whether I can get the ingredient easily or not.
