So today's topic is about Bihar, that is, about the people of Bihar, about those people of Bihar who have given something or the other to this country, because of whom till today we read matches or such things, so today's topic is about Aryabhatta, Chanakya, Gautam Buddha, Lord Maheshwar, and Vikramshila.

So, what kind of a country is Bihar? It was already developed much before the Asian era. There were universities like Nalanda and Vikramshila, where students came to Patna from far and wide. From our Bihar, leadership thinkers and such cultural and spiritual things have spread throughout India. You can imagine that people like Alia Bhatt and Chanakya were also from Bihar. Nowadays, Bihar is often called a state inhabited by illiterate and uneducated people. The people there are not good. If anyone has looked at the history of that place, you will find that most of the politicians and most of the discoverers, like Aryabhatta, suddenly such a popular university, which was considered the biggest university of India, will be found in Bihar.

Aryabhata was from Kusumpur village andis the world's greatest mathematician and astral note master, who invented things like zero. He has made discoveries. He has also discovered things like algebraic trigonometry, arithmetic, and astronomy, and he is very famous in these fields. He gave the concept of zero. He explained how it is measured. He explained how we actually calculate pi. He explained how the place value system works. He also discovered this thing in mathematics, so you can understand that Bihar is the most important.

Like I told you about Chanakya and about Lord Maheshwari, the state of India. Chanakya was a very prominent economist and author of economics in his Asian times. I mentioned Maha Lord Maheshwari, who belonged to the 24th Chinakara dynasty, was a Jain and was from Vaishali, Bihar. He belongs to the same place where my mother also hails from. I can proudly say that I too am a daughter of Bihar. I too belong to Bihar, and I am very proud of my state because if you go and see, you will find that most of the people in the army, IPS, and police are from Bihar.

You'll find that the armed forces are filled with people from Bihar, and the people of Bihar have this passion, this zeal, to do something for their country. Look at the journeys of IPS officers. You'll find a lot of them. They'll be from Bihar. You might have heard about films like "12th Fail" in that. The character played in that was Manoj Sharma, and he also belonged to Bihar, so you have seen in him the spirit of a Bihari, that if a Bihari wants to do something, he does it, and there is a saying among us that a Bihari is heavier than everyone, so am I.

I also discussed politics here. Bihar has been an Asian city since Asian times. For political power, you may have heard of people like Yashoda, Ashoka the Great, and Chandragupta Maurya. All of them were very powerful and non-police in our country during Asian times. Here in our country, Bodhgaya, Vaishali, and Rajgiri are very famous for religious and spiritual things because Gautam Buddha belongs to Bodhgaya. Lord Mahavir Raj belongs to Vaishali. So, all these things that are spiritual in our country are present everywhere, having spread from Bihar itself. In Bihar, you will find a lot of spiritual and religious people.

You've probably heard of Mithila. The Madhubani paintings of this place became famous here. The image of Mother Sita was born here, making it very famous. However, the Madhubani paintings of Mithila are very famous all over the world and have received numerous awards. The most celebrated festival here is Chhath Puja. Chhath Puja is our biggest festival, and for three days, the entire city is decorated like a newlywed bride. Chhath Puja holds immense significance for us. For us, it embodies our emotions. If you want to experience Chhath Puja, please go to Bihar and see it. You'll love it because the way it is celebrated in Bihar is unlike anywhere else. But if there's a Bihari living near you or in your community, you'll have the full experience of Chhath Puja, and you might even get the chance to relive it in its entirety. Wherever Biharis live, Chhath Puja is celebrated in full swing. For example, I live in Kolkata. You know that, and here too, there are many Biharis living near me, and we all celebrate Chhath Puja together. During Chhath Puja, the entire city is decorated like a new bride. For us, Chhath Puja is a grand festival started by our mother, Sita, when she returned from exile. She started this tradition, and ever since, we have celebrated Chhath Puja with great pomp and show.

I just want to say this to those people who think that Bihar is a backward country: please open the history and see it. Please go to Bihar once and see it. You will like it a lot. Bihar has also developed a lot. Its stations, its places to visit—there are many such places in Bihar that you can visit. There are many such historical places that you can visit and learn about the history of Bihar, so please go to Bihar, please visit Bihar, and you will come to know completely that your perspective about Bihar is very wrong and Bihar is a very beautiful place.
