STEEMIT OPENMIC WEEK 92 | SWEET DREAMS - HAVANA (ACOUSTIC MIX) #openmic by @luzcypher & @pfunk

THIS IS THE MIX WEEK FOR US IN THIS GREAT CONTEST!

Hey again guys! it's me one more time, and this time i have a little story to tell you.

In my family since I was little, I grew up with music. I grew up with the music my dad listens to. He loves Blues, bossa, rock. The music that my mom hears, on the other hand, is more pop. She loves the music of the 80s. I like ALL that they have shown me, but I also love electronic music, the current. We are very open to varied musical styles, and we do not have trouble listening to new things. Here at home we say that the good music is good, regardless of the genre.

That brings me to the following:

.
.

In the first part of our interpretation, my mom sings "Sweet Dreams". A theme of Eurythmics of the year 83. It could be considered as a classic of the 80s, very energetic and with a sound full of electronic elements.

And, secondly, we come to the present. A very well-known song by the vocalist Camila Cabello. This theme has a well-defined Latin style and it is from the end of the year 2017.

In a way, these themes combined perfectly. Achieving a mix between the old and the current, with our own touch that we always seek to give to our varied interpretations.

Hope you guys enjoyed it!!

Hola chicos! Soy yo nuevamente.

Just a quick little aside... When I was in my early 20's working as a carpenter, a held a job with a company called "Bortone Construction." It was owned and operated by a man named Matt Bortone. This was in the New England area in the North East part of the United States... I doubt there is any relation, but I thought I'd share that with you all just the same... :-)

This is my grandfather´s surname. it comes from a little town in Italy. Maybe there could be some coincidence, maybe not. Thanks for sharing this part of your life with me. It is always a pleasure to read you. It is a great honor that you like and appreciate our work . Greetings!

So cool to know! I am 100% of Italian descent. My grandfather came from a town in southern Italy called Caserta! I'm pretty sure the Matt Bortone I worked for was also Italian. Thanks for sharing this! :-)
