Hi friends! I'm having a blast in northern Wisconsin for my long birthday weekend, which, by the way today is the magical day in which I turned 35. It's kind of an odd age for me, because for whatever reason in my teens I decided that 35 is when a person officially turns old. Well, turns out my teenage self didn't know squat, because I am still feeling able, active and young.
Biking and Hiking was the name of the game today. My partner and I churned out eleven buttery miles by bike, and hiked another eight through the Big Bay Sand Spit & Bog on Madeline Island. Weather was gorgeous and saw plenty of red squirrels, loons and gulls.
Note to self, move around more. Regarding exercise, I've found myself in a bit of a slump due to the pandemic, but I'm optimistic that after this weekend I will ramp up the outdoor time a lot before snow flies.
35 isn't that bad... I'd do 35 again. I'm afraid of the big 4-0h. Happy trails, that's a great part of WI I hear.
Thanks pal! yeah I'm in no hurry for 40! Madeline island's been pretty great so far!
