Beach Painting 1

Hello, everybody!

Welcome back to emanate artworx. Today, I want to share an acrylic painting from the early part of this year. Mostly I make digital paintings because of ease and convenience (no cleanup?!), but sometimes it's nice to get some paint onto a canvas 🎨.

This painting was inspired by a picture of a beach I saw on unsplash. Where I live, the only beach nearby is a lakeshore. While there are some stunning scenes the lake can offer, it's really not the same as the mighty blue ocean!

Okay, this is actually the 1st of a 4-part beach series I painted. (So, you know, more to come.) Since I'm not super familiar with painting these types of views without using a reference, I'd characterize this as a study. I would love to see and plein air some sunsets like this IRL one day, but for now I'll settle for the lake and my imagination 🥲.

It was actually kind of difficult to capture the bright and vivid atmosphere of this scene. Acrylic painting is fun because it's a nice switch from digital art, but let's be real, sometimes you miss that undo button, amiright 🫠😆. Despite the challenges, I'm pretty satisfied with the vibes on this one and the fire of the sunset in the clouds.

I got a lil caught up in the brushstrokes, so I didn't get as many progress pics as I would have liked, but that's okay! The last one was taken outside in the backyard for that natural light look 🌞.

Great painting my friend👍❤️👍

Thank you so much! 😄

Wow Ema🤩🤩🤩, the sky is literally glowing with those colours. I didn't know you used to paint traditionally. This is really impressive!

Hey, thanks, Solumviz! 🌞 And thanks for the reblog. Yes, I'm still pretty new to making digital art, but I've been making traditional for a long time : )

I did not know that haha. You are doing well in traditional art. I'm not very good in that coz I have low patience for it haha.

😆 yeah, I definitely know what you mean about the patience. Digital is instant gratification, practically. Thank you : )

Yep haha but it's not as easy as people say. We need to put an effort to study all the tools and apply them to satisfy our needs. I seriously disliked the fact that I had to wait for the paint to set to apply next layer XD.

The other day, I saw a tip on a video from Alpay Efe [

Things I Wish I Knew as a BEGINNER ARTIST), where he basically said just that. That artists should work to be a "jack of all trades" to learn everything we can so we can create better.
...Doesn't make it any easier to be patient tho 🤣

I watched many videos like this and it was only helpful for a short amount of time XD. I'm glad that digital art exists haha!

Wow what a colorful painting and looks really beautiful

Thank you! It was fun working with those bright colors 😎.

What a beautiful work, it brings us peace and tranquility😊❤👍You have painted actually The Beauty of nature...

That's so kind of you. This one was fun to paint. Thank you!!
