Reading Books at a Bargain

in #palnet6 years ago

My granddaughter is in high school and she has to read quite a few books on a regular basis. She has a reading list of different authors and different titles that she needs to buy or borrow so that she can check them off her list. On one of my trips to the thrift store, I found a whole series of books that are on her reading list. The regular price of these books is about $14.99 each and I was able to buy each one for $1.00 a piece.

I decided to read them first so that I could see what see is reading. I am half way finished with the first book in the series which is named Bloodlines by Richelle Mead. It is harmless so far and is about the vampire culture and some teenagers going to school.

I am glad that I was able to find these books at such a discount and I am also glad that my granddaughter is an avid reader. It is great that she enjoys reading, but buying new books can become cost prohibitive over time. I am trying to teach her that second hand stores are a great source for buying reading material.

She will get to read all of these books once I have finished reading them, unless I get bored during the series.

Enjoy your evening.
