History OF Parapsychology
the field of parapsychological research was formerly used as metapsychic and parapsychic terms, especially in Europe. The term metapsychik was introduced by Charles Richet (1850-1935), a Nobel Prize-winning professor of Physiology, in 1905, inspired by Aristotle's book "metaphysics", and was introduced by Emden award-winning scientist and philosopher Emile Boirac (1851-1917), the president of the Dijon Academy and the Grenoble Academy. Prof. W. W. McDougall changed this term to parapsychology and allowed it to be accepted internationally and to take its place in the literature. But the US pioneer of parapsychology is Prof. J. B. It's Rhine. As a result of Rhine studies, he claimed that some people could obtain information from the outside world or from other people's minds without using physical senses. In the sense of non-sensory perception or non-sensory perception, this phenomenon is called "extra sensitivity perception" (shortened: ESP).

Parapsikoloji Kurumu 19 Haziran 1957’de Durham’da (Kuzey Caroline) kuruldu. Oluşumu Duke Üniversitesi’nin parapsikoloji laboratuvarındaki çalışmalar sırasında Rhine tarafından önerilmişti. Kimilerince bu, parapsikolojinin bilimsel saygınlığının resmi biçimde onaylanması sayılabilirdi.
Parapiskoloji Nedir
Piskolojinin ilgilenemeyeceği, mevcut yapısı ve terminolojisini ile tanımlayan zorlanacağı; pskolojinin bittiği yerde başlayan, duyu organları algısına dayalı bilimin çözülemeyecek, 3. boyut kavramı içersine sığmayan olayları inceleyen; sıradışı, gizemli,farklı ve sıradanlığa mahkum olmak istemeyen insanların bilim dalıdır. ( Aslında bilimin yetmediği noktada devreye giren bilim diyebiliriz:) )
Diyer bir adı ise ''Ruh Bilimi dir.''
Normal şartlarda insanların ruhsal açıdan farkında olmadıkları bir takım yetileri ve öngörüleri bulunabilmektedir. Örnek verilecek olursa, bazı kadınların ve erkeklerin telepati yapma yetisi diğer insanlara göre çok daha yüksek olabilmekte; durugörü yaparak (herkesin kullandığı 5 duyu dışında olayları farklı boyutlarda hissederek anlayabilme durumudur) bulunulan yerden binlerce kilometre uzaktaki olayları sanki yanı başında yaşanıyormuşçasına netlikte görebilmektedir. İşte bahsedilen bu özellikler bazı insanlarda bir şekilde kendiliğinden oluşabilmekte ve bu tip özellikleri olduğunu keşfeden insanlar hayatta parapsikoloji alanına diğerlerine nazaran daha çok yönelmekte ve bu alana değer vermektedirler.
Bu alandaki çalışmaların bir takım bilimsel laboratuvar araştırmalarına dayandırıldığı öğrenilmektedir. Bu alana dahil olan metodolojik parapsikoloji araştırmaları dünyanın belli bölgelerinde yer alan özel laboratuvarlarda ve bazı üniversitelerde devam ettirilmektedir.
