Do you know an awesome parent here on Steemit? Someone who deserves a little more than what they're getting? Let us shine some light on them, and share some steempower with them as well!
In a new effort to support amazing parents here on Steemit, we want to start a weekly delegation initiative. We want to give a majority of our influence to people who at least have the responsibility to keep a little human alive and happy... but in the spirit of community, we want all of you to have a say in who we choose to delegate our steempower to.
We are seeking nominations for our first SteemParents of the week! We'll need one mom, and one dad. If chosen, each will receive 25% of the SP on this account for one week. Right now, that's not very much, around 23 SP. Given time, however, this initiative will grow to the point that we are able to share thousands of steempower, giving those chosen a real seven day boost!
Since Steemit is just as much about rewarding curation as creation of content, if the person you nominate is chosen for the week, you will be delegated 5% of the SP on this account for that same week. Again, that's not very much at the moment, we are still a budding community, but as the support behind us and parents grows, so will the rewards we are able to hand out.
I am currently powering down 250 STEEM from my personal account, @thatsweeneyguy, and a portion of that will be invested directly into the SP for this account, increasing the amount of support we are able to give.
@cryptomomma (who is making her glorious return to Steemit this week), and myself will judge this first round, and will review the blogs of all nominees, choosing steemians we feel would best benefit from a pat on the back.
We will be looking for guest judges for future rounds, so if that something you might be interested in, comment below, and we'll be in touch.

There are so many great parents on here. My first nominee will be @karenb54. Not only has she taken care of her own child, she took in someone else's child and helped give her a new life.

What the PARENTS have to do to get on it...
Are they Users who using the STEEMPARENTS link , or are they some others.. smile
All it requires is a nomination. If someone recognizes the hard work you put into your blog and children, they may let us know you deserve to be on the list. You can't nominate yourself though.
