Participate in this contest is a huge Lifeguard for all new users like me (participants and 3 bloggers), because provides to all newbies the oportunity to show the way we see the life. But, there is another important thing, the fact that not only focuses on give us some visibility, the contest promote the creation of quality content. Is a win win.
Maybe i am wrong, but is significant to a new user, view a comment in your newbie post with a postulation to a contest of quiality content. More when you have a lot of replies in your post, and the 80% is about promos and "follow me and I follow you".
Glad to hear that you enjoyed doing the contest and hope that you keep it up each week. With the growth of this contest and the positive feedback we are getting my plan is to keep it going for some time.
Feel like we can build a strong little community of like minded #payitforward thinking steemians that will all be able to help each other grow. We can learn from each other and support each other.
The spammers and scammers...they never seem to die off. A major game of whack a mole. Anyone that says follow me and I'll follow you is someone you shouldn't bother following. Only follow those that create good content that is of interest to you. To many of those that use the follow me approach are building up a massive account to try and profit from selling resteems.
I am so glad that you find this contest helpful and also worthwhile! It is wonderful to help and support people here and watch them flourish and grow. That's why I love this contest so much and am honored that @thedarkhorse asked me to be a part of it. It is based on generosity and a pay it forward attitude; two lives that I live my real life like as well!
