Finding a safe space

in #peace • 2 days ago

So much is constantly happening in the world these days that no matter what you just cannot escape from everything and somewhere or the other it is going to impact each one of us in some way or the other.

The war situation - no one thought it would go on for so long, but it is and with that the daily lives of people in all parts of world are getting impacted. Stock market, crypto market are so volatile that it brings uncertainity to investments. There is inflation, day to day commodity prices are going up. Everything is getting expensive. Travelling brings uncertainity. Something wrong is happening in every second. It feels like we are all on a giant roller coaster ride.

Having said all of that life still continues and keeps going as normal. On the outside, it feels like nothing has changed. We still wake up every single day and go ahead with our normal daily chores. When I look at instagram feeds, everything feels normal and perfect and from that, one can never say that the world is burning in one corner and blooming in another, and as individuals we are expected to hold both truths at the same time.

In all this chaos, it is important to find our own safe space. This space is not a physical space that can be found outside. It's something you build in within yourself. I am not trying to cut out from the real world but I still want to maintain my sanity and that's why I avoid watching news, because most of the news is only spreading fear and hatred. I prefer to live in my small circle of life where I can wake up peacefully and sleep peacefully. I cannot stop the giant roller coaster from moving, but I can learn how not to get thrown off.

It's not that I am extra cautious about life, I just want to be in a peaceful state. I do my regular meditation, live in a state of gratitude and ensure that my personal energy level is always in a good place, which is very important for me. It is not that with all of this, bad things will not happen to me, but yes within my safe space I know that I have a core inside me which will hold it for me and not let me fall apart. At night in my bed, I think about all the blessings of the day, there are so many small things happening which I need to be grateful for. Everyone does not have these privileges and hence it's very important to always be grateful for all the gifts of life that we receive.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

Good for you, keeping your life relatively simple and quiet. The world is a mess, the last thing we need to do is dwell on all the evil out there. Meditation keeps the mind clear, and keeping to your routine makes things secure.

I'm glad you're doing well and have learned to focus on the positives in life, so many never learn to do that. They never really find a safe place that makes them happy...

When I was younger, I used to watch the news, and one of the things they often featured was murder cases. On Facebook, too, I would come across posts about people being murdered. Eventually, I reached a point where I became afraid even to walk along the streets. It felt like I was starting to develop anxiety.

That’s when I decided to stop watching the news altogether and avoid opening Facebook, especially early in the morning. I don’t want to start my day by feeding my mind with bad news and negativity. Honestly, avoiding negative content has really helped me a lot.

Behind every beautiful post on social media, there may lie a struggle that we do not see.

That's true

This is such a deep and meaningful post! In a world full of so much chaos and uncertainty, building an inner safe space and focusing on gratitude is truly the best way to protect our peace. Thank you for sharing such comforting and positive thoughts!

Thank you. Yes, there is so much chaos on the outside that it becomes important to create your own safe space
