Have you ever thought about this dualism? Maybe both are identical with good and evil, happiness and misery as well. But it never occurred to me that the assumption that light is good and that darkness is that bad thing ... is actually rather "racist" and unfair?
Indeed, if we are laced with loneliness and sadness say that they are on the dark side or fall in the pit of darkness. Why? They should be able to see with different viewpoints. Because with that view, how are those who are in the crowd, but they feel lonely?
At night, you fall asleep from exhaustion, what helps you recover your strength? Darkness right? At that time, a bright light would just keep the fatigue on our side. When the seeds of the plants will germinate, all they need is darkness before they appear and ready to live under the light.
I say this all, not because I'm afraid of light, not because I hate light. I want us all to know that goodness or evil is not in light or darkness, but it is all in the heart of each.
The wise say, darkness is emptiness, then true knowledge is there when we do not know anything. Why? If we analogy knowledge is content and is part of the bright side of light, the more we seek knowledge, we will realize how small we are, how foolish we are, how empty we are.
