Hermeticism is a teosophical and esoteric tradition based upon Hellenistic writings of Hermes Trismegistus. One reason for everyone to be aware of it is the fact that these writings have greatly influenced many people during the time of the Renaissance and the Reformation. Hermetic is indeed very powerful. It's the doctrine that affirms the existence of a single, true theology that is present in all religions and that was given by God to man in antiquity. The seven principles steem from the book Kybalion: Hermetic Philosophy, published 1908 under the pseudonym of "the Three Initiates", claiming to be the essence of the teachings of Hermes Trismegistus.
1. Mentalism
"THE ALL IS MIND; The Universe is Mental."
Thoughts come first. They create. Everything that got created on this earth was an idea in someone’s mind before. Think about it, think about thinking! You do it all the time and it influences every occurrence in your life. Knowing that, the best that we can do is to train ourselves awareness. Think consciously, think about the things you want to achieve, think positive, think creative. Whatever you want to change in your life: It starts with the thought. Pay attention to your wishes and desires. Give them space. Give them all the space. Ask yourself "What do I want?" every morning you wake up. If you keep concentrating on your thoughts and start to control them in a positive way, you’ll soon watch your life change. That’s a promise.
2. Correspondence
"As above, so below; as below, so above."
BEWARE CHRISTIANS!
Today many famous Christians, like for instance the yourtuber A call for an uprising warn other Christians about exactly this principle. As above so below. They call it a satanic dogma. However, that’s exactly half true. In Matthew 6:10 Jesus says:
Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as above, so below (some versions say “as in heaven, also on earth”).

What Satanists or dark Occultists do is turning everything upside down. That’s not the same as Correspondence.
What it really means is the fundamental truth that everything in this universe follows the same pattern. Micro, Macro. Every plant, every animal, every human, every little cell, every atom is build the same way. The Fibonacci numbers, the golden ratio rule, … everything is the same. As in the universe, so in your own body and every cell in your body and so on and so on.
This means: The whole universe is exactly like you and you are exactly like the whole universe. As a whole and as every single bit of it. This short video depicts it best:
You and I, we have the same purpose. You and I have the same purpose as the universe and every little part of it. Isn’t that perfect? That’s exactly what we long for, right? We’re all the same. This is one of the greatest truths. If you learn how to control your thoughts take this into consideration. Become one with us!
3. Vibration
"Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates."
Vibration manifests in different frequencies. Our brain receives frequencies all the time and forms our deception. This is how we hear, see, speak. All our senses rely on vibrations.
There is no such thing as no motion ever. Nothing is ever at complete rest. In the whole universe you will never find any thing that would be motionless. Nothing. Maybe you can’t see, feel or hear the movement but there’s always some. You can’t see the wind either or music but it’s there all the time. And think about atoms. They build everything, right? And they never keep still.
What does it mean for your life? Well, that’s the best of all: Death doesn't exist. There is no such thing as an end of movement. You don’t die and dissolve to nothing. Every single part of you goes back into the circle of life. When you’ve learned to control your thoughts, I promise you’ll find out what that means. Because many people answer to this idea: Well, how does that serve ME as a person? But this answer comes from a mind that never learned how to leave the body they only now exist in. If you learn about your mind, you’ll come to the conclusion that you are more than your ego and body and you will definitely lose your believe in death the way this society sees it.
4. Polarity
"Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled."
Everything has its opposite. And opposites are all the same.
Like hot and cold are just degrees of warmth, wet and dry are presence or absence of water and fast and slow different degrees of speed. And when it comes to humans:
A left extremist is the same as a right extremist, a fanatic Christian is the same as a Satanist, a Feminist is the same as a masculist, a gun-supporter like his opponent …
I guess your initial reaction was to judge all of those people you just read about. Maybe you thought: “yes, they all the same kind of stupid” or maybe you identified with one of the mentioned and immediately felt a need to defend one of those groups.
Yes, that’s exactly what polarity is about. Polarization. You can’t get away from it but you could study it on twitter, youtube, facebook or anywhere else in the internet if you like.
Polarity isn’t a bad thing in itself. That's how your computer works basically.
No Energy = 0
Energy = 1
Your computer just never judges.
Luke 6: 37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven
It's yin and yang.
For your life that means?
The knowledge of polarity will overcome divide and conquer. React not. Learning to control your thoughts also means to take back judgement. Take a break before you react to anything. We are ruled by people who know about this principle and use it against us. We can change that. Every one of us. Literately center yourself.
Polarity – understand it and never be ruled again!
5. Rhythm
"Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates."
Everything has a certain rhythm. Day and night, the menstruation circle, spring, summer, fall and winter … that's because of law 2, 3, & 4. Every vibration is a frequency, every frequency comes in waves, every wave has its ups and downs. For your practical life that means that there are days where you feel less energy. There are two ways (polarity) of handling these moods. One could either take those days for absolute relaxation and a closer look into ones needs and desires or – mind over matter – you can decide to give as much effort as you can into days like this. It's not impossible to be awake at night it just takes more effort. Given the principle of polarity: You can change anything on its own particular scale. From no energy to high voltage are many steps of possible stages.
6. Law of Cause and Effect
"Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law."
Every cause has its effect, every effect has its cause. Everything happens according to Law. All other laws considered everything causes an effect. Everything we do, think, say, feel, everything outside of us, the weather, photosynthesis, … everything is in correspondence (law 2).
Call it causality, call it karma, you name it, it means no one and nothing escapes the consequences of their own doings (,thoughts and words). I guess you faced it quite some times in your life. Maybe you hurt an Ex which lead to someone else dismissing you for that or they hurt you and you could watch them receiving contempt for it. Or their lives just stuck after your relationship in which they treat you terribly wrong. It never happens instantly but it always does. You can never escape the consequences of your own doings. The good thing about it is: When you do, say, feel and think good, then this is exactly what you'll get back for it. Very simple. If people adore you for always being helpful they'll definitely gonna’ help you when you are in need. Give and receive. Be careful what you cause.
The physical world we are now facing is what humanity manifested before. What has been done cannot be undone. Today many people are stuck looking at the symptoms of those unfavorable manifestations from before. When it comes to politics, diseases or whatever. But you can't change what has been manifested. You can only manifest something new.
START WITH LAW 1, MENTALISM
The underlying has to change. How we think, feel and act.
Whatever happens, stop caring about and judging it, ask for the cause. Change the cause, never the effect.
7. Gender
"Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles; Gender manifests on all planes."
Creation always comes from a male and a female part. Yes, I know that’s confusing because we’re used to think about the physical plane of sex and recreation when we talk about male and female creation. That’s true but superficial. The first principle will always be MENTALISM. The male part of your brain, where your consciousness and willpower is, penetrates the female part of your brain – your subconscious. The male power is the outgoing energy that pushes your desire into your subconscious – the womb of your mind where we go pregnant with ideas. If you want to create you need to find the perfect balance between your male and female aspects, the perfect balance between action and rest, awareness and dreaminess.
Practice awareness and learn how to control your thoughts. It’s the only way to change this world.
