Hi Folks!
It is not a new subject that post-processing images can sometimes look totally different than reality.
Without any big discussion about the morality of the photographers - we can say there are two types of them - people who try to stay as close to the true conditions they photographed as possible and the photographers who are collecting the material for future processing.
Many of the best and well known photographers are in the second group - they are the masters of Photoshop. I am not judging here if it is bad, worse or good - it is how it is and it is always great to know about that.
It is Your choice if You like the natural and pure photography, close to the reality or You like the artistic creations of the authors.
Comparing these two ways of production - it is hard to get the perfect conditions in landscape photography and sometimes we can fix and save the good composition we found just in a way of over-processing the images.
In which group am I in? - I am trying to find the balance but I am much more close to the first group.
In my opinion, landscape photography is a catching the nature with its good and bad attributes.
Many times I was coming back home with nothing interesting just because the conditions didn't match my expectations - but this is the beauty of landscape photography.
If we are lucky enough to experience and catch some amazing light - the satisfaction is incredible and all the photos of that moment brings fantastic memories.
In this case - I went much further than usual - I replaced the sky and played a lot with light and color - much more than usual.
Final effect maybe is good, eye-catching BUT I know it is not real and it wasn't like that on the field.
I prefer to share not so amazing looking true picture than the amazing, incredible fake one.
BUT EVERYTHING IS A MATTER OF YOUR PREFERENCES AND TASTE. I am not judging anyonem both photographers and viewers. Just remember about that - not always believe in what You see...

Indeed - very special place, looks different thanks to that black volcanic basalt rocks around - in fact, Svartifoss in Icelandic means 'Black Waterfall'.
