Pura Agung Besakih adalah merupakan pura terbesar atau induk dari pura -pura yang ada di pulau dewata. Pura ini terletak di desa Besakih, kecamatan Rendang Kabupaten Karangasem. Letak Pura Besakih berada di lereng Barat Daya Gunung Agung pada ketinggian lebih kurang 1000 meter dari permukaan laut, dan berjarak sekitar kurang lebih 60 km ke arah timur laut dari kota Denpasar Bali.
Pura Agung Besakih is the largest temple or the parent of the temple-temple in the island of the gods. This temple is located in the village of Besakih, sub-district of Rendang, Karangasem Regency. The location of Besakih Temple is on the Southwest slope of Mount Agung at an altitude of more than 1000 meters above sea level, and the barrier is approximately 60 km to the northeast of the city of Denpasar Bali.
