I wouldn't know what to do with photoshop if I had a copy of the program, like most of the programs I use on my PC I only use free ones and the same goes for the one I use to mess with my photographs. I love to visit old ruined castles and abbeys around England and wander around taking pictures. I'm no expert with a camera so don't know how all the settings work so it's easy auto all the way.
I edit these pictures so I've plenty of stock photographs to use for my Vampire stories book covers or promotional pictures. Most of the editing I do is to try and create a look that unites the pictures into a theme. Being able to create my own book covers isn't just a way for an indie author to save money but also gives me control over the first thing a customer sees, the book cover.
I know how important a good cover is, many of the new authors I've discovered were down to the cover art, from wandering around new or second hand book shops or car boot sales a book cover can sell copies so I bear that in mind when creating the look I'm wanting.
So below are my covers for my stories so far.

These ones were done in a CAD program rather than from photographs.

Congrats, @alienbutt! Actual subject and is very interesting.
Thank you.
