Hi friends! I want to talk a little about paper. This is not
the first post I devote to creative material. But I think other artists
have interesting and useful information. I painted on different paper.
For watercolors, I always use watercolor paper. I tried to draw on
different density and different company paper.
This one in the photo I bought for pastel. I already showed you work
with pastels. I believe that masterpieces can only be written if you use
good, high-quality material. I’m self-taught, but for a long time I
know what materials it is better to buy in order to work comfortably.
Why do I know that you can’t write a masterpiece with budget material,
because I myself have gone through a path of error.
I spent a lot of time to find quality but budget material. The only
thing that at least to some extent met my expectations: Palazzo “Rose
garden” paper, 200 g / m * 2, fawn linen. But all this paper is not for
everybody. What my choice is Fabriano. This is the best combination of
watercolors and paper that I have seen in life 😻
I think you're right. With quality materials the end result will be a lot better than if you use the cheapest stuff possible.
Keep up with the good work, Alena!
