As I'm really into meeting new people who take photos and who are into this mood of architectural photography, city photography, photography in short. So as I was getting into the subject and learning so much, I was connecting with very generous people who are sharing with me some technical data, and other locations and places where you can go to take pictures. It's kind of weird. I don't know if I ever told you but there are places, locations where you pay an entrance fee that gives you the possibility for two hours to move around the place and take pictures. And that day many photographers go there with cell phones, and others with professional cameras and take pictures of the place or many other times they go to do photo shoots for advertising and for private events as well.
That's how I came to this factory in the neighborhood of Devoto. It was a very large textile factory that for years worked and was very successful. At a time when the country was not doing so well and they ended up closing. The factory was closed for many years during the 2000's until about 3 years ago. In 2021 they opened it for this purpose and it is really a success. At the beginning the owners told me that they opened once a month because it was difficult to gather so many people. But time went by and they got into the audiovisual world and now the place works every week for all those who want to use the space.
The experience lasts about two hours as I told you before but it really seems very little time you have. I don't know if it is because the place is huge and the amount of pictures you can take is immense, but the enjoyment was a lot. In the middle of all this together with the entrance you have the possibility to have a drink. There is a buffet where they wait for you with a big table of delicious things. From croissants to various fruits and some cut squares, and all the infusions you can imagine, soft drinks, water, juice and they treat you extremely well.
I asked if it was possible to make a private event of a party nature, which seemed like a great place to do this. And that's when they told me that at the beginning, in order to make some money and not have such a dead space, they used it for private events, but only a part of the place. And when they started to have more demand they preferred to stop using it for that purpose because there is a lot to clean afterwards.
The truth is that I really enjoyed this event and I left happy because I took away several new tips and made some new contacts to continue experiencing new places and photographic actions.

Como estoy re enchufado conociendo gente nueva que saque fotos y que esté metida en este mood de la fotografía arquitectónica, fotografía de ciudad, la fotografía en definitiva. Entonces como me fui metiendo en el tema y aprendiendo tanto, fui conectando con gente muy generosa que me va compartiendo data alguna de técnica, y otra de locaciones y lugares en donde se puede ir a sacar fotos. Es medio raro. No se si les conté alguna vez pero hay lugares, locaciones en donde vos pagas una entrada que te da la posibilidad durante dos horas moverte dentro de este lugar y poder sacar fotos. Y ese día van muchos fotógrafos con celulares, y otros con cámaras profesionales y sacan fotos del lugar o muchas otras veces van a hacer sesiones de fotos para publicidades y para eventos privados también.
Así fue como llegué a esta fábrica en el barrio de Devoto. Fue una fábrica textil muy grande que durante años funcionó y fue muy exitosa. En una época en donde el país no estaba tan bien y terminaron cerrando. La fábrica estuvo cerrada por muchos años durante los 2000 hasta hace unos 3 años atrás. En 2021 lo abrieron con esta finalidad y realmente es un éxito. Al principio me contaron los dueños que abrían una vez por mes porque les costaba juntar tanta gente. Pero fue pasando el tiempo y se fueron metiendo en el mundo audiovisual y ahora el lugar funciona todas las semanas para todos aquellos que quieren usar el espacio.
La experiencia dura unas dos horas como les contaba antes pero realmente parece muy poco el tiempo que tenes. No se si se debe a que el lugar es inmenso y la cantidad de fotos que podes hacer es inmensa, pero el disfrute fue un montón. En medio de todo esto junto con la entrada tenes la posibilidad de tomar algo. Hay un buffet en el que te esperan con una mesa muy grande de cosas ricas. Desde croissant frutas varias y algunos cuadrados de corta, y todas las infusiones que te imagines, gaseosas, agua, jugo y te tratan extremadamente bien.
Pregunté si se podía hacer algún evento privado de índole fiesta, que me pareció un lugar genial para hacer esto. Y ahí fue que me contaron que al principio para sacar algo de dinero y no tener semejante espacio muerto lo usaban para hacer eventos privados, pero solo una parte del lugar. Y cuando empezaron a tener más demanda prefirieron dejar de usarlo con ese fin porque después hay mucho para limpiar.
Lo cierto es que disfruté mucho de este evento y me fui feliz porqueme lleve varios tips nuevos e hice algunos contactos nuevos para seguir experimentando nuevos lugares y acciones fotográficas.
