I was supposed to shoot with a couple new models this weekend. I was pretty excited because I haven’t had new faces in front of the camera for a hot minute. However, both cancelled shortly before the shoot claiming illness, only to forget that we follow each other on instagram so I could see their Instagram Stories as they went out drinking shortly after. SO, that was nice. It stung a bit, but I’m pushing past it. I got stuff to accomplish this year. Can’t be slowed down.
So I jumped in front of the camera to try out some new gels I grabbed at the store. I got a couple different color combos to play with, so hopefully I can get back in front of the camera and shoot some more tests this week.
I didn’t intentionally do it, but the makeup I chose was primarily two vivid colors- bright blue and bright pink. Naturally, it made a two-tone effect on my face, but I kinda dig it.
I did the makeup, hair, modeling and lighting. My lady took the photos for me.

Damn, flakes are bad but lying flakes are worse. Glad you didn't let that stop you from getting in some practice.
I love that deeper blue that appears at the line combining the two light hues. This is so perfectly late 80s/early 90s coloring in my eyes. And you are a killer model for yourself; you know how you imagine an concept and you can execute it just how you like.
So very true- looking forward to a day where they ask to shoot with me and I can politely turn them down because I have other clients. Daydreaming of success :)

Collaborations are hard. I’m always giving them the benefit of the doubt when I make time to do art with others but they always have ‘better’ things to do. You did an amazing job on your own. The gels look great! I haven’t really tried them out but they look fun.
Yeah, they're so difficult, which is why I usually end up being my own model. I'm trying to add variety but it's hard when people flake so much :( Thank you love! I'm definitely feelin the contrast of using twondifferent colors- Going to try a few more color schemes this week!
