~ My BeeFly ~
They are called FlowerFlies and Hoverflies but I call 'em BeeFlies. They look just like bees but with crazier looking eyes and little nub antennae. They are true to their names and hover quite well but you don't have to worry... they don't sting!
I was VERY FORTUNATE to have been shooting one of the other flowers when this dude let me tag along for the ride. The irony is that this little buggah wasn't doing much hovering or flying for that matter. Although it did navigate under the top layer of Strawberry and Smultron canopy pretty effortlessly, this rascal can be seen chilling out in many of the shots.
I ordered the series of shots in sequential order. My favorite capture is the thumbnail but my favorite chill shot is probably the last one! Let me know which one is your favorite in the comments if you feel so inclined! I am always curious to know.

My favorite is the fifth one up from the bottom. Little guy is taking in som nectar. I think that one is cool. We have this insect called the Hummingbird Clearwing Moth. You’ll have to Google it. I so want to capture a shot of one. No luck yet. Flowers smell like Fruity Pebbles?? Wild and yummy.

I never see the moth at our house here at the Jersey Shore, but my parents live on the bay just off Ocean City Maryland and I see them there all the time. Who knows. Possible the type of flowers she plants. I'll just keep keepin on!
I guess you could say thats all I do to..play around with art. I havn't done any shows or make many sales. I lock them away in the closet, but I am running out of room. I want to get myself out there more, just waiting for the moment to be right and my abilities to improve. excuses excuses. I hear it in the back of my mind. I'll do it, just a little at a time.
Thanks for the re-steam on that watercolor post! I wish they had a favorites tab for the favorite few you didn't want to miss out on. I don't see anything like that here. For now I just have to remind myself to stop bye your blog every now and again. Or read through my comments or replies to see who I am forgetting.
