As I was going by car along the Swedish country road I had The musician Jack Johnsson's song; The Horizon Has Been Defeated Playing. That's when I took this snapshot out of the car.
For you who haven't heard the song here are some of the lyrics which I really enjoy:
"The horizon has been defeated
By the pirates of the new age
Alien casinos
Well maybe its just time to say
The things can go bad
And make you want to run away
But as we grow older
The troubles just seems to stay
Future complications
In the strings between the cans
But no prints can come from fingers
If machines become our hands
And then our feet become the wheels
And then the wheels become the cars
And then the rigs begin to drill
Until the drilling goes too far
Things can go bad
And make you want to run away
But as we grow older
The horizon begins to fade, fade, fade
Fade away"
The song is a bit gloomy but still joyful somehow. It's a song that has stuck with me and I often choose to listen to it when I'm traveling.
Hope you are well and that you are having a nice weekend :)
Hey Dan! Been meaning to stop by. I saw your post when you'd just moved back to Sweden but the day's past and things carried on. And, here we are! The skyline looks similar to Canada! For some reason that surprises me. Good to see you posting again. How are you adjusting? It should be a great day! Hope yours is too!!
Things are really good thanks ! I think Sweden and Canada both have beautiful nature. Unfortunately we also have long winters like you guys hafa - hope spring will come soon :) How are things in Canada?
Glad to hear things are good! This year is bonkers! Snow banks are huge still and it's forecasted to be cold cold cold till the middle of April 😨. It was -25°C yesterday!!! The wind was insane snow drifts covered the roads. The only blessing and sign of spring is the longer days! Which really offer relief!! I hope for green, growing, and sights 'n sounds of spring soon too!!
Man you guys still have it that cold - that is tough ! Let's certainly hope the green comes soon
No doubt! Got to spend time with grandma this weekend. She's born in 1926. So, in 92 years --this is the coldest and snowyiest easter yet! It's bizzaro. Glad it's not so harsh for you. But, i bet the contrast from China is still pretty steep!
