Love this flower they attract bees all the time. The hollyhock ranges in various colors blue, pink, purple, red, white and yellow.
From what I have read, they can grow up too nine feet in height (http://flowerinfo.org/hollyhock-flowers). This one was in my backyard and a little taller than me (I'm 6'1'').
Although I mainly see it attracting bees, another site I was reading was saying that one special characteristic of this flower is that it's attracts birds too (http://www.bhg.com/gardening/plant-dictionary/perennial/hollyhock/).
