Behind its beauty, there is a chunk of granite rock on the beach that was formerly known to contain gold grains.
The discovery of gold granules in the location of granite rock is what causes the beach is called the Golden Coral beach.
Tin mining activities that used to be rampant in the region are now a memory because the Golden Coral Coast is now prohibited for mining because it has been designated as a tourist area and protected forests.
