Vulnerable. Helpless. Susceptible. Different words, the same meaning. Monday. Tuesday. Wednesday. Different days, the same feeling. You, him, her. Different people, the same ending.

This was a shoot I did years ago of a good friend of mine based on what I wrote above. An ode to our teenage years- filled with confusion, emotions and.. a lot of eyeliner. Yes, we were a part of that not so great "emo era". Haha. In the background played songs we used to listen a lot to, to help us reminisce what it felt like. Weekends were spent jumping along to songs played by a local band in the area, 'til our knees hurt, without regrets. A bottle of beer on one hand, cigarette on the other. Careless, reckless, carefree times. Those days were over, for sure. But it helped shape who we've become today. The type who's not afraid to face real emotions, to embrace who we truly are. The type who grew out of immaturity, petty reasons and strived beyond indentity crisis. It was a tough and a weird time, yes. But not in a million years would I trade it for anything. Embarrassing, but treasured. Because of that era, we found hope through music, and family through friends.
