This Battlefield held the bloodiest fight of the Civil War. This is a view of the moon from the Antietam Battle Field Visitor Center. If you have a chance, you should visit this hollowed area. Confederate soldiers were buried in shallow graves all over this area. Many men were unaccounted for after the battle. You can feel the sorrow as you walk through this entire town, which is host to more that 6 cemeteries dating to pre civil war times.
