Verrücktes Leben auf dem Wasser

In der Rummelburger Bucht, Berlin hat sich eine alternative Hausboot Szene entwickelt.
Vom alten ausrangierten Kahn, bis zum Segelboot und auch einfach schwimmende Bretterbuden findet man hier alles was man sich nur vorstellen kann.

Meist rotten sie sich in kleinen Bootsgrüppchen zusammen und feiern auch wilde Partys auf dem Wasser.
Viele von den Bootsinhabern haben auch noch eine Wohnung in Berlin, welche sie oft für teures Geld über Plattformen wie z.B AirBnB vermieten.
Auf dem Wasser lebt man fast umsonst, kassiert Sozialhilfe und Wohngeld und mit den Mieteinkünften, kommt ganz sicher niemand auf die Idee noch Arbeiten zu müssen.

Man könnte meinen das ist ein Sommervergnügen, nein auch im Winter wird auf dem Boot gelebt. Gerade im Dezember über Weihnachen sind Zimmer extrem teuer und da wäre es doch Schade wenn der Rubel nicht rollt.

Hier sind auch noch 2 reguläre, süsse Hausboote welche oft vermietbar sind oder auch manche im Privatbesitz. Die werden aber oft nur im Sommer benutzt.

Crazy Living On The Water

An alternative houseboat scene has developed in the Rummelburg Bay.
From the old discarded barge, to the sailboat and also simply floating plank huts you can find everything you can imagine.

Mostly they gather in small boat groups and celebrate wild parties on the water.
Many of the boat owners also have an apartment in Berlin, which they often rent out for expensive money via platforms such as AirBnB. Living on the water is almost free, social welfare and housing benefits are collected and with the rental income, no one would think of having to work.

You could think that this is a summer pleasure, no, even in winter people live on the boat. Especially in December over Christmas, rooms are extremely expensive and it would be a pity if the ruble didn't roll.

Here are also 2 regular, sweet houseboats which are often for rent or some of them are privately owned.
But they are often only used in summer.
