Royal Botanic Garden is one of the most versatile and beautiful botanic gardens that I have had luck to visit. In the photo - Asian/oriental section.
Desert area in the Greenhouses/Glasshouses or Royal Botanic Garden. Hundreds of species of cacti are being grown and preserved there. A lot of hard (and prickly) work.
Panoramic views of the greenhouses can really show the beauty, wilderness and teh size of the space. It was difficult to express it with ordinary photography.
The fish happily enjoy the clean, "natural environment" (natural enough for them :-] ). There is such a large diversity of flora being planted and grown together. If you saw no glass walls, you would think that it is a real rain forest. Great work by botanist caretakers.
