Learn photographic composition

As many will know one of my greatest passions is photography and Steemit has given me many tools for every day to grow in this area, some time ago I had the desire to organize small face-to-face workshops to continue learning and practice, thanks to @theunion today who supported my idea, I have achieved it.

This Sunday 25/03/2018 was our first face-to-face workshop where they were: @angeltirado, @purapapita, @leonellaforever, @hegaby, @mayvil, @madefrance, @ hendersov10, @chrisjares, @sxnchezk, @jesscbrl, @doblev, mi person and the teacher @dechastre.

Currently @dechastre is doing photo tutorials in the discord of the @rutablockchain community on Mondays at 9 p.m. The truth is that I never miss them because their way of explaining seems simple and fun, the last class assigned a task, I will explain what the workshop today was at the same time I did it.

Lines

A photo transmits a message and we are able to read it as a text, that is, it is like a kind of language that is only acquired by educating the eye. For the composition of a photo we have to observe what kind of lines we want to see if there are any.

Horizontal lines

In this type of photography we look for the horizontal lines so that the path of our gaze is from left to right, like when you read a book.

Vertical lines

This time I did not know what to photograph so I used the first thing I saw at my university. The lines help us to define the route we will take when viewing a photo, if we have vertical lines we will go from bottom to top or vice versa.

Diagonal lines

These types of lines seem to me to stand out in a photo, in fact, they are my favorites, just look:

The model is @leonellaforever I particularly like how these lines are also reflected in her eyes, this was exactly what she wanted.

Black and white

@dechastre told us to get used to imagine things in black and white to make it easier for us to know where there is more light and where not, that is photography "write with light".

Vanishing Point

It is a point of the image where most of the lines are directed, and serves to make us understand that our main objective is to direct our gaze to this point.

Rule of the thirds

I think that this is one of the greatest rules of composition that exist in photography, and the truth is that it is super useful to tell more than the apparent, this rule is to divide the image into 3 equal pieces of horizontal and vertical, example, we have this picture of a little boy who is screaming, LOOK AT ME! I am the center of attention.

Instead, we have this picture of my beloved niece that is one of the lines of interest and says in a subtle way that she is enjoying in a pool, basically tells a story without being the exclusive center of attention.

They are also called points of interest to the intersections of these lines and right there is usually placed the main object.

Thank you very much to everyone who was in our first workshop, for me it was very satisfying that many would love the activity and felt that they learned a lot.

Special thanks to @lupitalamorrocoy for their collaboration as a model hahaha.
