Burj Khalifa, Dubai

in #photography7 years ago

Finally, the day arrived when we'll see the tallest building in the world.

Every time we drove on the streets of Dubay I want to take a photo. It was not easy. You never find a right spot. One time you're too far away, next time you're too close. Or maybe some other buildings are on your way.

This was the best one I could get.

We bought tickets online. It's much cheaper, but you need to book a couple days in advance.

You need to be there an hour earlier to check in and undergo a security check. Like on the airport.

Before you reach elevators you go through a hallway where you can see all details how they build the whole area. It's very interesting.

Elevator travels at 10 m/s and you reach 124th floor quite fast.

The lift boy said: welcome on top, and that was it.

Enjoy:

But when you look up you can see this. Another 40 storeys.

We stayed there about an hour and I can't describe the feelings. There is no way to do it. You need to be there.

It was a bit hazy and I know that photos are a crappy, but how many people can show you something like this?

Back on a groud level.

Tomorrow is Sunday. Don't waste it on steemit. Go out. It's summer time.

Great eye, I love visiting Dubai such an extravagant city. If you have time, I would recommend a trip to Musandam Peninsula. Its only about a 2 and a half hr drive and they have tour guides who you can book with. Check it out especially if you like to take photographs. Cheers.

You could get me that high only with a XXXXL blunt...lolz...

I like the ground level better:)

Nice to see the tallest one...

What a city. One day I will visit up there also! :)

Dubai is really impressive indeed! I've got the chance to be there for 10 days in 2015, it's was just awesome! So many huge wonderfully designed buildings everywhere!
Crazy to say it, but I did not have time to visit Burj Khalifa!!
Thanks for sharing your experience
@progressivechef

Wow ! Finally reached to Burj Khalifa,Awesome photography @oldtimer Thanks awesome memories with us.

That must have been a very unique experience. The photos look like they were taken from an airplane, not from a building!

@oldtimer,
That's amazing! Actually I never had this experience before. But thanks for you I feel I was there! Great work you are doing and thank you very much for sharing with us! Really appreciate your effort and incredible photography you have done!

Cheers~

Just watched Mayweather vs McGregor, millions there, millions and billions here if I watch your photos, and the young generation millions of people that cant afford a simple apartment to create a family, yeah that is the World we have. however, nice photos, thanks for sharing.

My advice to young generation; there are a lot of opportunities out there. Get off your smartphones and find them.

Happening, many young brain escaping abroad. It is sure a valid point that youngs need to do something about their lives but it is also truth that older generations especially in Slovenia are well protected and covered by political parties, because there is where the votes are coming from. Very simple and very wrong, if you ask me.

Good point. That's exactly why I and my family moved out.

Maybe this saying can become international as well ! I also think that people are becoming a bit too comfortable and less pro active due to smart phones!

Wow unbelievable. I couldn't even imagine how that would look in person. Just think if somebody was scared of heights how insane it would be if they were on the top floor of that building!

Cool! The city looks like a children's designer from a height :)

When I climbed Burj, there was a strong sandstorm going on. We couldn't see more than 100m. :) They serve awesome fish in the restaurant by the fountain. Strongly recommended!
Cheers!

Just got back from a bike ride... and checking out your photos. This is amazing. I love the pattern in the pool... is it a pool it is so gigantic. I guess to match the building. Ha ha! Thanks

Find on YT Dubai fountain.

Ok thanks

Really cool and amazing photos thank you for sharing

WOW I was wondering if you would get to go up there, must be such an amazing experience and wow those views like on top of the world

Fantastic view of the city but i have a great fear of heights.

Amazing building ..and nice city

I think the photos from the top are really nice ! I have been in a tall building in Shanghai, don't know if it's the third tallest, but either way it's tall. I have been up there a few times but it has been very hazy, actually smoggy might be the right word for It! I never was able to get as clear pictures as these.

Looks cool. I am going there next week.

Nice views! Haha good to plan ahead 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Really amazing photo of Dubai travel sir . nice enjoy.

Beautiful Dubai, good morning

Yeah brother , it's really a nice building explaining the power of petrol and money , but it's also the hell city for Asian and african employees

Who brings them there?

Asia has China and Russia which are booming now for at least 12-15 years. So they don't have to come here.

Nice to see these beautiful pics of Bhurj khalifa. The pics were awsm. Have a nice trip..

never been to dubai would definitely want to see in real :(

Man must have felt amazing
like touching the sky
the boundary between you and the sky is lessening

awesome shots

Amazing shots from the top!

Wow!! That is one FAN-TAS-TIC view @oldtimer. I love the way you got the shadow of the Burj in your photo's.
Hope you enjoyed your Sunday😉

awesome

oldtimer, good morning

It's a wonder of sorts indeed! Everywhere you go in the city you can see the tip of this majestic building! Also, love the fountain show that happens every 20 minutes there!

Great amazing post and nice photography. thanks your post.

I can always enjoy a nice city view. Nothing could be better then seeing everything at the same time instead of just one building!

what a moment!!!
very nice!!
