I forced myself to went out yesterday afternoon. I desperately needed some fresh shots for the new post. It sounds easy, but it wasn't.
It was minus 15 and wind chill minus 21 and because I didn't want to disappoint my followers I put on three pairs of pants, two sweaters, insulated working gloves my fur hat and a scarf.
Our boss totally lost his mind. Poor guy.
You know it's cold when people start skiing on the river
and steam starts lifting from the buildings.
I was not the only human out there. You can even see the bicycle tracks. And dog footprints.
You can see some trees growing on top of this building.
I crossed the river.
Followed the cycling trail.
Hole number 14 on the Riverside Golf Course is not ready yet.
When the trail becomes narrow, steep and slippery I didn't regret my $500 investment in hiking shoes. It was well worth it. You can really feel the difference.
I made 10 km in two hours. It was cold in I really feel I deserve every cent of rewards on this post.

Never seen bar mitts before. I am one of those crazy who can be seen 365 days / year on a bike in Ljubljana :) And i really don't care what the weather is. The only thing that matters is your equipment :) Forecast for Ljubljana next week is -20°C. It's going to be cold on a bike and I am looking forward to it. =) Stay warm! ;)

Great hike... thanks for taking us along! Still a lot to see even when it is -15! I've never seen those hand warmers used on a bicycle. I like the bike tracks in the snow and the sun over the river... both beautiful shots! Kitties are smart.. they know when to stay close to the fire!

You would never think that the most regular things we see every day and dimiss could turn into a good picture with the right vision and angles. People are actually biking in the snow there? It’s gotten warm this week in Ottawa. Plus 10 this morning and lots of rain the past couple days. Flood waters are coming and the canal is closed for the season.
