Ezequiel Zamora Park - The Calvary

in #photography8 years ago

today I want to show you one of my favorite sites in Caracas - Venezuela, which I have many memories of when you visit the first time...until today I continue visiting this place in Caracas each time that I can.

Stairs of Calvary

In the center of Caracas is the "Ezequiel Zamora Park" on a hill, that all caraqueños known as "Calvary". It is a place little frequented by the caraqueños, but well worth a visit from its recovery in the year 2010. We began our visit rising the 90 steps of the famous staircase of Calvary. Sometimes they are athletes training uploading them to step of trot.

After climbing the stairs (and take air), we can follow up through beautiful walkways, or by other stairs (no longer as high as the initials). The roads are very beautiful, completely shaded and with lots of greenery.

A bus you can climb. However, keep in mind that if you take can be missing some very beautiful places, as this square that we see here. There is also a nice chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes.

Views from the Calvary

Miraflores Palace

The towers of Silence

To be in a hill, the calvary we offers beautiful views toward the Miraflores Palace, the Silence, the military museum and many other interesting places.

The coffee Venezuela and the reading room

At the top there is a pleasant cafe, with a very appropriate furniture and by not having walls, we enjoy a cool temperature and a nice view.

There is also a reading room for those who want to enjoy a good book or any activity that requires silence and concentration.

At the top

If we continue climbing we find ourselves with a very pleasant square, with fountain, where you can appreciate the most beautiful view. There is a new staircase with a monument to Bolivar. There is also a gazebo and plenty of grass and banks for you to enjoy a moment of relaxation.
