The ball python(Python regius) isn't an aggressive snake, and it doesn't generally attack people. ...Especially not if it's been raised around them. Tends to view them as a source of warmth, and will readily crawl over them, and crawl hand to hand.
If it got it in its head to suddenly constrict with maximum force, it could probably do some damage...but it wouldn't get that in its head. (And an adult can unwrap any snake less than 6 feet long. ...And even if it constricted until the person passed out, it would have to continue restricting past that point in order to kill them.) The behavior of Ball pythons is unlike that of boa constrictors (especially Mexican arboreal ones), Anacondas, reticulated pythons, African rock pythons, or Burmese pythons, all of which are larger and significantly more dangerous.
The most significant danger here is that the person would tilt off balance, and the snake would suddenly constrict harder out of a fear of falling. (Not in attack, but to prevent itself from falling.) That sometimes happens. The constriction attack is several times stronger than even a strong prehensile grip.
In that case, even if she blacked out because it cut off blood flow to her brain, it wouldn't keep constricting once both parties hit the ground. ...But it might cause her to bonk her head, and she could be endangered that way. ...(Infirm/elderly/drunk, people and children should not be left alone with large constrictors.)
The prior possibilities are very unlikely, given the inability of such a small snake to crush the human larynx, or exert a prolonged constriction attack in defiance of life-or-death human efforts to unwrap the snake.
If it was a full-sized adult (more than 6 feet long) they suggest not wrapping it around your neck, because, then, it's only the psychology of the snake that makes it safe. ...And snakes don't have much of a brain.
All that said, wrapping any constrictor around one's neck should not be done alone. Darwin awards are occasionally handed out in unusual / anomalous situations.
WOW .
Thats Cool :)
What kind of snake is this? I heard that
colorful ones are poisonous.
A sweet ball python.
I will google it, Ty
This picture is hell dope, I did not see the snake at first, later scrolled up and it was like some magic.
what kind of snake is that ?
A friendly ball python. 😃
whaooo, It takes a bold mind to hold a snake, or even roll it around the neck, that would be impossible for me, snakes are not my thing but it looks beautiful around your neck.

Wowo. scared
I've Upvoted for sure. @fatkid
Nice photo! Both of my sisters have owned snakes, so I'm not irked by this at all (I've done the same thing plenty of times!)
The python has beautiful markings, they look quite shiny in the light too. My sisters have had diamond, carpet and centralian pythons. I think I may like the look of the ball python more though!
I'm sure you must have interesting stories about that snake and the things it's gotten up to. I certainly recall plenty of times I found a python where I wasn't expecting one!
Followed :)
Nice pictures, following you now :)
Cool and amazing. Followed you. Keep on sharing!
This reminds me of the snake from the Book of Genesis. Very cool twist I would say.
Best Regards,
@abn
