Yes, the entire valley is fertile, filled with small mostly agricultural villages... I grew in a farm in Nahalal, which is a few miles behind me when taking this photo. My parents and everyone around are farmers, but lots of people are already working in other things too as agriculture cannot produce enough income anymore.
I grow our own veggies in the garden, my parents still have lotta agricultural land, but they can't make a living from just that anymore. the last few governments here pretty much killed agriculture by importing instead of local consumption.

Farming is a job that requires a lot of effort and capital, but if you have land, planting for your own consume is the greatest benefit.
