I usually get to stay in bed on a Sunday but no such luck today due to the wife and kids being away for a week. I could hear a storm in the distance as my alarm went off but the dog needed a good run and to ... well do the things a dog needs to do in the morning!
I met up with a fellow dog walker at 7:30 and we could see the storm out to sea that was generating all the rumbles. There was a good scattering of people about who were watching it pass as it headed south.
I was a little concerned that Lola and her friend would be scared of the noise but they were too interested in eating the odd rotting crab along with other horrible things. Thankfully Lola didn't find any fox poo to roll around in today unlike yesterday.
There weren't as many ships around as yesterday when there was a little queue for the harbour. It seemed relatively calm at the shoreline but I imagine it was a little rougher out in the North Sea.
I managed to catch the off flash of sheet lightening but nothing amazing. To be honest that was probably a good thing as I don't think I'd have wanted to be out and about if the storm was a few miles closer to land. It stayed mostly dry other than the last 5 minutes or so when it started to rain a little.
Lola scoffed her breakfast when we got back and then adopted her usual position. She seems to have taken to this old reclining chair we have and will quite often climb on our lap if we dare sit in it. She's over 26kg in weight so it isn't the most comfy place to be.
The least you could have done was have a paddle in the sea. Tsk!
We've been here 4 years and I think I've paddled once. 4 steps in and the water is up to your neck 😅

Probably not a good idea to be exposed on a beach with lightning around. I was out today in the car and it chucked it down around Hatfield. Not too bad otherwise. Just more driving that I really wanted to do.
