Sunset at midnight

night time is not something you see very often during the summer time in Antarctica. However, during the later time of the season there, which is in late February until the middle of March you start to get some more colours from sunsets and at times even stars and rising moons.

I remember one evening as we were transiting in the Gerlache strait I found myself standing on the outer deck with my binoculars and camera and being in awe of the colours that were forming along the mountain range along the peninsula.

This place is truly breathtaking and I hope everyone gets the opportunity to experience Antarctica at least once in their lifetime.
