MyPictureSunday#6 - Do you prefer urban living or the nature?

in #photography7 years ago

Hello my Steemian friends and welcome to another episode of MyPictureSunday!

I started my Sunday as usual with a run through the woods. I find it wonderful and refreshing to be in the bosom nature, to enjoy the sun, fresh air and all the vivid colors. Being in the woods was always something pleasant for me. As a child I used to climb on trees, build sandcastles and play hide and seek with my friends.

Keeping the nature clean is very important to me. We cause way too much pollution - I am incapable of cleaning the world, but at least I can try to keep my surrounding clean.

Where should we go from here?

I took the right way ( no pun intended) and met with my cousin in the City. The weather was great and we went to the Harbor City - a newly constructed district in Hamburg. As you can see in the next pictures, there are still many construction sides. The best way to get there is by the metro. The metro stations are works of art for themselves.

Yes, the colors are changing! Amazing right?

Let's go out! Stairways to heaven!

I took a break and prepared some posts for this week. Be excited! :)

The most expensive building in Hamburg - Elbphilharmonie

After the long and exhausting trip we really needed to get some food. We decided to eat something traditional Turkish food. We ordered two dishes with Tantuni. It's basically stir-fried lamb with salad, herbs and served with some spicy chillies. yummy! What's important besides some Turkish food? Turkish tea!

The day ended with a cozy campfire I made with my girlfriend. Do you see it? STEEMFEST! Yes, prepare for SF2!

I for one need both, the city and the nature. It gives me a good balance between because the rush of the city life is sometimes too much stress.

How did you spend your weekend? Let me know!

Steem on, Tim!

Reminds me of a Rudyard Kipling poem "the way through the woods" and whenever I read it, the scenes became a reality in head. I really wanna live under among the breathing trees rather than being surrounded by the dead concrete.

What a beautiful city, and what stunning photos of it! Very impressed by the quality of your pictures and thanks for explaining everything too! In answer to the question in your title, honestly I prefer the city. Although I do love nature too, and I wish that both can coexist... I think cities that balance both are often the best cities and it looks like your area does that really well!
Thanks for a great post :)

I am very happy to have such a balance. Thanks for the kind words, if you enjoyed these pictures, wait for what's coming soon!

Great! I look forward to seeing what you have to post in the future!

As with most things in life, balance is the key. I prefer rural living but enjoy the benefits of having metropolitan areas within a short commute.

Congratulations @timsaid!

I will also take nature over urban any day of the week. Your photo's are absolutely amazing. Keep up the good work can't wait to see more. You just got a new follower.

Wow - so many beautiful pics. And although i prefer nature, your pictures show how beautiful the city can be as well. Wonderful!

As you might have seen in my blog, I'm highly positively biased toward natural settings. Nice shots, and beautiful playful times, thanks for sharing. Namaste :)

Nice pictures and post. I prefer nature for play and the city for work.

Interesting view. I like it though

Hey @timsaid! Nice post, visited Hamburg last year and really loved it. Visited the infamous Reeperbahn (the part with normal bars, that is). Question; you said you prepared some posts. Is it posible to prepare a post and set a release date somewhere in the future then?

No information on that. I just wrote some articles in advance since I am very busy with university

great pictures

Hehe. Thank you. My weekend end was very well. With nature, sun, good food and very productive.

I'd say nature. Its so peaceful and cleaner in the countryside :)

Totally agree, peaceful and clean

I prefer more urban but thats just me.

Stay who you are. Nothing wrong with that! Thanks for the feedback

Your first photo of the road into the forest is so alluring, what an experience it is to walk roads like that!
About a preference? I'm torn, I love the wild but really enjoy the city, too.

I have the same feeling. I need both

Such wonderful pictures! I like to visit the cities, but much prefer living by nature. I have been following your blog and must say that I truly enjoy your writings. upvoted and resteemed

I really appreciate your words jdawg! Will check your blog later, too

That would be great, please do!

great post to think

I prefer country life over urban.
Of everywhere I've been...I really like the ski towns in North Carolina.
Someplace like that would be ideal for me.

Only nature, but sadly I live in a city - at least for now... @timsaid you can even check it out on a few photos im my entry from yesterday https://steemit.com/photography/@imperfect-one/saturday-walk-a-lovely-day-in-wroclaw-lot-of-pictures Maybe some day you will decide to visit it (it's only 600km from Hamburg), and if you do, remember to let me know, I can help you in whatever you will need :) Cheers and greatings from Poland!

You have some great shots!

Thank you very much :) I'm also writing about travelling through Poland in the series I called "Poland is Beautiful". If you have time and willingness I also encourage you to look into that. Next entry coming soon :)

It's got to be nature (with good wifi) ;)

Nature is the best.

Nice post, no one should say not no nature. Unless u need to steem than head to the city and your internet connection. thanks for sharing

Nice pics! I was biking in the woods today and ended up drinking wine on a beach looking out over Oslo fjord. Not a bad Sunday at all.

That first pic of the subway station has been popping up lately on my Windows 10 login screen haha

Really? :D That's crazy. Sounds like a great day. Cheers!

Heck yeah! With some homemade sushi in between :) If I had a following like yours on Steemit I shouldve posted about it. Thats a work in progress...

Enjoy reading your blog :)

Great post! I Love urban life to go shopping and eat out once in awhile. but I dont prefer a concrete jungle over what nature has to offer.

I prefer both. Nature to live and Urban to hangout with friends and family

Well, I have always wanted to live in a secluded cabin somewhere out there in the woods far from the urban landscapes but looking at it realistically it just isn't sustainable in the long term. Aesthetically, nothing beats that cabin but when you get down to everyday things like getting groceries, health and hospitals, it's a lot of headache. You'd have to spend a lot on fuel if you want to get to your workplace or a supermart. And what if you suffer a random stroke, maybe even a heart-attack? In the city, you just might reach the hospital in time but when you live in an unknown cabin, I doubt people even know of your existence. I find all this stuff to be really interesting, I'll probably write my next post going in-depth on this topic.

If I had to pick one, I'd say nature but its a tough choice. Nice post man.

Nature wins every time for me! ;)

I worked yesterday and today i was working out. It was great do some sport after one week.

Loved your post and your pictures pure enjoyment thank you

Nature, but seeing the inside of your house makes me yearn for a little bit more urban in my life.. There is so little money to go around in small towns its hard to get paid enough to live well.. I have to drive 2 hours to buy a bitcoin :( but thanks for posting. Following to see the posts you worked on, and what you have to show us next Sunday! Enjoy the rest of your day sir!

nice....upvote and resteem for your post...

Looks so relaxing.

I prefer nature and nice pictures @timsaid

Great pictures. Thanks for posting!

WOW. Some of my FAVORITES on ONE page. I would like a GREAT mixture of both. Tree HOUSE and tiny HOME COMMUNITY with MODERN art on EVERY corner.
Thanks for the VISUAL experience.

I appreciate the neatness of the city as well as the wildness of nature. Nature definitely rules for relaxation though.
