A mixed culture space where you can feel the nostalgia of the Edo-era Tokyo live on - Ueno Sakuragi Atari

in #photography6 years ago (edited)

Sakuragi Atari in the Ueno area!

This is a building built in 1938.
It is a family of a business owner established as a home and a family house. Both indoors and outdoors are well preserved and repaired, so you can feel history and culture in the architecture of the Edo period in Japan.

This is a multi-purpose facility that revives old wooden buildings with local alleys. There are shops such as Kayaba Bakery and Yanaka Beer Hall and so on. Also there is space that can be used for tea ceremony, exhibition and various lectures. Tokyo has NPO corporation, which is a company that strives to preserve and utilize historic buildings in the Ueno and Yanaka area, Ueno Sakuragi Atari is managed with NPO & owner company.

When you enter the entrance of the building, you can see where the various posters are located, so you can see ongoing exhibitions and events in the cultural space. You can go to the homepage, preview the details and plan your visit.

We take a walk around Ueno Park, and headed to Ueno Sakuragi Atari. It took a long time to walk across the park, but it was good to see the flowers in the street with a mild wind. The streets and alleys that lead to this place are part of the urban regeneration project, where old buildings are everywhere and it is fun to see them on the way.

I walked road while watching Google map and found this flower way because I missed alley that should have gone.
It was so good that I had fallen in love with the flower for a long time. It was here that I witnessed the last time before the cherry blossoms fell.

Make mistakes or lose your way..
But it's okay.
So I like trip.

And it arrived here immediately. It is said that the three buildings of the Japanese Edo period are preserved and used, I could feel the elegance that can not be felt in the present architecture. We spent time watching the small souvenir shop, flip-market and the bakery.

When we are hungry, we go to Yanaka Beer Hall and enjoy beer and light snacks. The fantastic taste of this cold local draft beer can not be expressed in words.
Kya ~

And then we ate cherry blossom with adductor muscle dish and sake which there sold only in spring season. The tasty of the cute food was really charming and I could not stop ordering. Eventually I final ordered napolitain spaghetti.

Happy this time.
I hope this place will be kept longer.
