It’s hard to stay productive when it’s 95°F outside. I casually joked with the lover and told him that we should jump around to different locations and take advantage of the cool indoor setting. I thought we were going to hit up some comic book stores but instead I was tempted with the idea of consuming sweets. We only made it to this one stop before rushing home for a midday nap.
@kommienezuspadt had heard great things about Patisserie 46 and suggested that we give it a try. It’s strange how we never came to visit this place sooner because we’ve driven by on many occasions.
There were a few patrons seated outside in direct sunlight and we struggled to understand the logic behind their choice.
I was in awe once we stepped inside. Everything was aesthetically pleasing. I love the bread display and how the desserts look like jewelry on display.
Fresh strawberries & rhubarb, strawberry compote, basil mascarpone cream & micro basil in pâte à choux. Can you image the taste?

Oh yum! That one caught my eye as well. Strawberries and basil are pretty amazing together. Basil mascarpone?! 😱 That sounds divine!
And yes, definitely best to either go with a group, or pick up a few things on your way to a little get-together... because one dessert is great, but getting to taste lots of them is so much better! 😊
The problem I have after visiting a patisserie, is that I then want to go home and try making things myself... lol
