These were some of the first photos I started taking at protests, demonstrations, and rallies before I was given a much better camera and equipment. Over the years we lost a few beloved folks, many of us honed our teeth on activism with Occupy. Many in our number traveled across the country to visit and help at other occupy encampments. These first steps led quite a few of us to Standing Rock and demonstrations in Washington D.C.. I met the very best people though Occupy formed very close and beautiful friendships, alliances and learned so much.
