Google Bathory.... was a long time ago. Infamous for being one of the more prolific female serial killers. It was long ago, but she thought bathing in the blood of young women would keep her young. So that's what she would fill her bath with.
She and her hubby used to torture the servant girls. As the local nobility, she fostered well-bred girls... who'd then disappear.
