Discovering Plants

I love me some wild plant life both inside and outside, but I don’t have an especially green thumb nor do I know much about my plants. I just want to have lots of them around me.

I do know the names of most of my indoor plants, but the ones outside, I have no idea what I have growing because I didn’t plant them. When things bloom they are easier to identify but even then I don’t know how I would figure out what everything is.

I discoreved this awesome app called PictureThis that you can use to identify plants just by taking a picture of it. I was highly sceptical about it but it actually works extremely well and fast! It’s not a free app but there is a 7 day trial I intend to put into good use. I’m going to picture all the plants that I don’t know and save them into screenshots before the trial period ends.

So far I’ve discovered there is a highly poisonous and beautiful when it blooms plant in my flower bed, wolfsbane. That’s good to know if the man starts acting up…

Another thing I found was that I have two of the same plant inside and hadn’t realised they are the same. I have a tall Indian Laurel with braided trunk, and another one that I think is kinda like a bonsai version. Even though the leaves are very similar, I never made the connection before.

If I at some point in my life will actually start to care for my plants and not just hope for the best, I might consider buying the app to be used regularly. You can add all your own plants there, get information and care tips and even set it up to alarm when it’s time to water the plants.

My goodness, that applications looks hella useful! I have multiple plants in my house that I know nothing about and only water them when they start to look pale... this looks amazing.

I’lm urge you to have a try with the app, to at least to know the name and if they like to be in full sun or not 😁

Oh nice! My parents were avid gardeners and for the vast majority of my life I thought plants were so boring... and now I spend so much time wondering what things are and how they interact with their environment.

Hahaha, I'm glad you'd never put your murderous plant plans on an immutable blockchain... oh wait...

Should have listened to your parents!

I tell everything here so if I’m even tempted, I’ll remember I’ll get caught because I already told what I was gonna do 😂

Hahaha, why isn't that a feature of Web3.0 that everyone shouts from the rooftops about?

Men are still alive because of social media blockchains! We're saving lives!

”Web 3.0. to keep them crazy bitches in check. Join now!”

Always good to have a handy supply of Wolfsbane. it does keep wayward men in line!

It’s a natural remedy after all 😝

If you want to compare with a free app, try Google Photo.

When you review your photos on Google Photo, press this button (Google Lens).

It will try it's best to identify what's in the photo (Animals, Birds, Plants etc) and tell you what it found.

I don't know which app is better. I'll obviously leave that decision up to you.

Hey, thanks for the tip, I’ll save this for later when I don’t have the app anymore and might need to find something here and there.
