Funghus

in #poem7 years ago (edited)

Once I stood under trillions of stars
in the middle of nowhere,
in God forsaken place
looking at Milky Way with my bare eyes,
I realized there's no real purpose to lies.
In silence, under countless lights,
I observe and absorb moonshine
and beauty of nights like this.
I admit to myself - I am just a tiny funghus
infecting this blue and green cell
which rides through unknow in a way we barely grasp.
I am the solution or pollution - whichever I choose to be.
But still and always my ride too ain't free.
Aware of myself I go to sleep,
thinking of trillions of bright shining lights - far far away dying all alone
