Native Sun (An Original Poem)

in #poetry11 months ago (edited)

Four generations removed
from a world unrecognizable,
a world without walls,
truth of word and of law,
ultimately, just another domino
to fall in the name of progress.

Imagination can
only give us glimpses
but the seed of memory is strong in me,
often bubbling up as effervescent
wisdom whispering in my thoughts,

The forest is where
I come to worship
its great canopy, my cathedral
branches swaying softly in the breeze
to the melody of birdsong,
a beautiful choir,

Here I connect
with Nature in all her majesty,
the supreme intelligence behind it
gives order to the chaos
again grounds and humbles me
leaving everything right again,

Just a brief respite
from our unbalanced existence
but it helps to quell the sadness
of the sorry state we’re in,

Then the Native Sun
tells me to open my eyes
and see that humanity
is finally beginning
to awaken from slumber,
long huddled in Cimmerian shade,

Our family is being remade
before our very eyes
and the children of
new world will be an amalgam,
much stronger, than the first,
a harmony unimaginable
can be seen shimmering
in the not so distant twilight,
and felt flowing towards our shores
truth and destiny cannot forever be hushed.

To the Native Sun I whisper back, please hurry.

Poetry should move us, it should change us, it should glitch our brains, shift our moods to another frequency. Poetry should evoke feelings of melancholy, whimsy, it should remind us what it feels like to be in love, or cause us to think about something in a completely different way. I view poetry, and all art really, as a temporary and fragile bridge between our world and a more pure and refined one. This is a world we could bring into creation if enough of us believed in it. This book is ephemera, destined to end up forgotten, lingering on some dusty shelf or tucked away in a dark attic. Yet the words, they will live on in memory. I hope these words become a part of you, bubble up into your memory when you least expect them to and make you feel a little more alive.

Most of us have experienced a moment of perfect peace at least once in our lives. In these moments we lose ourselves and feel connected to everything. I call these mindful moments. Words can’t describe how complete they make us feel.

These moments are usually fragile, evaporating in seconds. What if there was a way to train your mind to experience more of them? It’s deceptively easy and requires nothing more than a subtle shift in mindset. My new book, Mindful Moments, will teach you to be much more content despite the chaos and imperfect circumstances continuing to unfold around you. A very extraordinary poetry with beautiful enough poetry for us to hear. I hope you are always in good health and well, greetings from my best friend.

Thank you!

You're welcome 👍👍

Very true and impressive poem. I will say here that if a person's health is bad and his mood is also bad and he sees natural sights, then he sees an improvement in his health and his mood also becomes good because natural things. Seeing gives a lot of peace to the human mind. There are many beautiful trees in front of the window of my house. When I look at it, there is a cold wind blowing and it is raining lightly. It feels very good.

Thanks, so glad you enjoyed it.

Most welcome.

It is already here, all we need to do it reach out and touch it. A cimmarian mood is easily quelled by a short walk in nature (I had to look that word up). Gold runs through our veins, infuses our very blood, if we let it. I'm so happy to meet another soul who can do this. Keep spreading the love man! Your poetry has done so much for us all.

Lovely message.

Thank you @owasco! I always hope the poems strike a chord in people. Enjoy your weekend!

The imagery in this has me excited that camping season is right around the corner. I think I am going to head over to my parents this weekend and pick up the trailer.

Very nice! The season is definitely almost here.

Here in my balcony, I have connected with nature and watching one of its goodness, rain.

Good poem, thanks my friend!

There's nothing like listening to the rain. You're welcome. Thanks for reading!

Contemplative poem where the longing for the past and a connection to nature provide solace amidst the chaos of progress, while hope emerges for a brighter future where truth and harmony prevail. And all this can be awaken by the Native Sun rise. We should all find our inner self in this noisy world and make the best of it.

The famous Pachamama present with its colors, sounds, smells, to nourish us with life! Nature is a temple that welcomes us and before her we are as tiny as a grain of salt. We arrive in this world with bare feet from the solitudes of our wanderings, but as we walk, we become guests of this world that surprises us. Will those who come after us bring their eyes ready for the sun, for the sky? I am surprised by the number of young people who prefer the darkness of a room, the solitude of cold walls. Will we go back to the caves? An excellent poem with very beautiful imagery and a thought that delves into the fundamentals. Nice Tuesday, Eric. Hugs.

Humanity's severed connection with nature is concerning! Those who still have that connection understand how important the planet and all of the other inhabitants we share it with really are. I fear the young will be the first to fully immerse themselves in virtual reality when that hits mainstream. Thank you, Nancy! Have a wonderful week.

It has caused me a lot of strangeness that you haven't posted these days. Eric. I hope all is well. Regards

All is well Nancy! I've just been traveling for the past five days. I hope your week is going well!

beautiful lyric a reflection on the connection between nature and humanity, and how these two forces can work together to create a better world. your poem evokes a sense of hope and optimism.

Really beautiful poetry. Nature seems to teach a lesson to humans. Have a nice day Eric..

Thank you Eliana! Have a wonderful rest of your week.

Nature acts on us with all its power. When our state of mind, our joy or sorrow will come into full conformity with nature, and it will no longer be possible to separate the measured noise of the forest from reflections on the life we have lived. It is alone with nature that beautiful poems are composed

True. In visiting the forest we reconnect with our true soul.

What a powerful poem that even the sun will be proud reading this 💕

The sources of such poetry only come from our heart and in the vicinity of ultimate nothingness.

pretty melodious look.

I loved this beautiful poem dedicated to the sun and nature, they are the ones who have governed life on earth since the earth was created.
