Which pill did you take?

in #poetry3 years ago

Fighting for unity in a world of forced separation.

Uniqueness formally frowned upon, many give up, done.

Spreading out to include many lives leads to exasperation.

Learning to draw them together, become one.

Where do we leave the individual on the battlefield of life.

The lone solider left with no rights.

Fabricated communities lead to strife.

The facade of freedoms fought for, lost to the night.

Lies, back alley deals and greed, the cornerstones of communities.

Simple questionnaires for their planned preparations.

Stacking drones, under a singular Queen Bee.

Separation of the sheep, the proof of the shepherds desperation.

Are you lost in the battle?

Are you their worker bee?

Are you just herding other cattle?

Are you falling for unity?

Looking at actions is more important than mere words.

There are more than two sides to every war.

So many blindly join in on one side the herd.

How does your fight tally up, what is your score?

The winds of yesterday still blow strong against my void of memories.

Music, laughter and love seem to stay, faces and names turn gray; eroded away.

Importance in the filing cabinet of my mind, skewed to my preference.

What will fill my thoughts on my final days?
