Entangled

No one raindrop
Begins a storm

So it’s hard to trace
Where we began,

Perhaps the day
My old life was over

And I began to look
For another lover—

But that doesn’t explain
Why I let you in.

If I go back in memory
To retrace my steps

I’ll picture you
As you were then,

But when I paint
Your face inside my mind

It colours me too
And everything blurs

And I end up
At a loss for words.

We are entangled
In ways incomprehensible—

Where you like everything
Cut and dried

I prefer things fuzzy
And undefined;

When others see you,
I am revealed,

But if I try to change,
You change too.

I come alive
When you enter a room

Like the Moon isn’t there
Until you see it too.

There’s no space between us
And no time either.

What were God’s thoughts
When he put us together—

That we’d mirror each other
In this dance forever?

Wow that is a nice poetry.

This could be a really twisted reflection of me in a hurry , looking for keys?

Ha ha ...very appropriate. I eliminated that by getting an app called Tile that tracks my keys and my reading glasses - Damn those glasses! I even bought progressives figuring I could wear them all the time and thereby never misplace them...I forgot, I hate glasses lol
