THE UNFORTUNATE MATCH WILL

in #poetry6 years ago

burning match

The unfortunate match will lay
amongst the thorny grasses
seeking its mother’s kiss.
The father, with a heavy rod in hand,
will start
a tempest in a teapot.
The mother, with liquid on cheeks,
will become
a teapot in a tempest.
A lucky match will kiss its mother
and die a glorious death,
going out in a blaze
of fiery glory.
The children are not abandoned
if she promises to come back.
A lucky match kisses its mother
and dies a glorious death.

ABOUT THIS POEM:

This is one of those silly little poems that mean absolutely nothing! You give it your own meaning! Cheers!
